For many people, deciding to see a counsellor happens at a turning point. Something has shifted – a relationship, work, health, a loss, or a sense that “I can’t keep going like this.” As a counsellor, my intention is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where you feel safe enough to slow down, make sense of what is happening, and begin to move towards a life that feels more aligned, connected and meaningful.

Over the years I have worked with adults and adolescents experiencing stress and burnout, anxiety, low mood, anger, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health, and the unique pressures men can experience around coping, performance, and emotional expression. Together we gently explore the story you have been living with, the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and the strengths and values that can support a different way forward.

My approach is integrative and holistic. I recognise that mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing are deeply interconnected, and that sustainable change often involves more than “fixing a problem.” Drawing on person‑centred counselling, CBT, NLP and ACT informed strategies, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and reflective practices, we will tailor our work to you as a whole person – not just a diagnosis, label or set of symptoms.

Alongside my clinical work, I also bring extensive experience as a Lecturer and Educator in the counselling and mental health field. I have spent many years designing and delivering training for emerging and current professionals in counselling, psychology, mental health and care work. This background allows me to explain psychological concepts and strategies in clear, practical language and supporting clients and professionals alike to integrate insight into everyday life.

At the heart of my work is a belief that people are doing the best they can with the resources and history they carry, and that with the right support, new possibilities can emerge.

If you are considering counselling, you do not need to have everything “worked out” before you come.

Reaching out is the first step. I would be pleased to talk with you about what you are looking for and how we might work together.

Feel free to call for an introductory call where I can personally assist you with any queries you may have.
